Your data, handled with care.

This website, jayeshkhatri.com, is run by Jayesh Khatri, a private individual based in Göteborg, Sweden. I am the data controller for the personal data described here, under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

For any privacy question or request, use the contact form (choose “Something else”) or message me on LinkedIn. I reply within 30 days, usually much sooner.

• I only collect what you send me through the contact form, plus anonymous visit statistics.
• No advertising, no tracking cookies, no selling or renting your data. Ever.
• You can ask me to see, correct or delete your data at any time.

Contact form. Your name, email address, company (optional), the topic you pick, your message, whether it is a message or a Paid Session request, and your browser type (user agent, used to spot spam). I use this only to reply to you and, if you ask for a session, to arrange it. Legal basis: steps you ask for before a possible agreement (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)) and my legitimate interest in answering messages (Art. 6(1)(f)).

Visit statistics. I use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and see which pages are read, where visitors come from (for example a LinkedIn link) and the country, device and browser type. It sets no cookies and stores no IP addresses; visitors are told apart by a short-lived anonymous value that resets every 24 hours, so I cannot identify you or follow you across days or other sites. Legal basis: my legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used (Art. 6(1)(f)).

Server logs. Like any website, the hosting provider briefly processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver pages and protect against abuse. I do not use these logs to identify visitors.

Theme preference. If you pick Light or Dark mode, that choice is saved in your own browser (local storage). It never leaves your device and is not personal data.

The 30-min Free Intro Call is booked through Cal.com. When you book, Cal.com collects your name, email and anything you write in the booking form, and shares it with me so I can prepare. Calls run on Cal Video unless we agree otherwise. Cal.com processes this under its own privacy policy.

Paid Sessions are paid through a payment provider (such as Stripe). Your card details go directly to that provider; I never see or store them. I receive your name, email, the amount and the payment status, which I keep as long as Swedish bookkeeping law requires (currently 7 years).

I use a small number of trusted providers to run the site. They process data only on my instructions:

• Vercel (hosting and visit statistics)
• Supabase (database where contact form messages are stored)
• Resend (sends me an email notification when you submit the form)
• Cal.com (booking calls) and, for Paid Sessions, a payment provider such as Stripe

Some of these companies are based in the United States, so your data may be processed outside the EU/EEA. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

I do not share your data with anyone else, unless the law requires me to.

• Contact form messages: up to 24 months after our last contact, then deleted.
• Payment and invoice records: as long as bookkeeping law requires (currently 7 years).
• Visit statistics: kept in anonymous, aggregated form only.

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

• get a copy of the personal data I hold about you;
• have it corrected or deleted;
• restrict or object to how I use it;
• receive it in a portable format;
• withdraw consent at any time, where I rely on consent.

Just get in touch. If you think I have handled your data wrongly, you can also complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY) or the data protection authority where you live. I would appreciate the chance to fix it first.

Links to other sites. Links to LinkedIn, GitHub, YouTube, Google Scholar, Goodreads, Coursera and others take you to sites with their own privacy policies. Some links to books, courses or products may be affiliate links; if you buy through one, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. The seller may use a cookie to record that you came from this site.

Children. This site is not aimed at children under 16, and I do not knowingly collect their data.

Security. The site is served only over HTTPS, and contact messages are stored in a database that only I can access.

Changes. If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
